FogTrail

Walk to clear the fog. A friend sends you a place and you do not get a pin — you get a mood, a climb, and a glimpse through the trees. The map stays misted until you stand there and walk it.

Your walking stays on your iPhone

Your steps, your walks, your location while walking and the fog you have lifted are stored in the app on your phone and are never uploaded. There are no analytics, advertising or tracking SDKs in the app.

Signing in is optional, and it does create a FogTrail account. That account holds your walker name and avatar colour — and, if you signed in with Google rather than Apple, the email address Google gives us with your name. Nothing about your walking is stored with it, and you can delete the account from inside the app. Subscribing to FogTrail Pro goes through Apple.

Before you go

FogTrail points at real places, but the routes, notes and stills inside it are illustrative examples — not a survey, and not navigation. Read Walking safely before your first walk.
